Hijas Del Mal confirmed for Alone

Title: quevaievá

We are convinced that the best way to get to know a city is by its local market. The culture of the place emerges from every corner: the smells, the colors, the flavors, the sounds. We've tried to visit local markets in every city we've been to: Denmark, Germany, Brazil, the UK, Uruguay...
For us, making an "audio-tour" of our central market was the best way to bring everyday life in Córdoba to you.
The expression "quevaievá" is, for us, full of meaning. For starters, it is exactly how you would write "que va a llevar?" (translated: what are you buying/taking home?) if you are hearing it directly from a local person in our home town. Weird accent and all. It is also the most heard question trough out our "tour". It's the first thing you're asked when you're seen wandering around, when you get to the different stands, when you open a door in a shop. This is our way to bring you close to us.

Hijas del Mal is an artistic partnership between Pia Bertoldi and Sol Montaldo. Playing with aesthetics, fiction and space, we create parallel worlds in which the participants are able to transform reality. We are inspired in the past, the present and the future, walking the line between what is fantastic and what is real, together with eccentric characters in unusual times.
Hijas del Mal makes you step out of your comfort zone and into a new way of observing the world.

Beck and Burnett Confirmed for Alone

Remaking History

Beck and Burnett invite audience members to re-create a key moment in their history.

This could be a memory or a moment in time that has either significantly affected or played an important part in your life. It could also be something that has not happened to you directly, it could be something you heard about and it consequently affected you in some way. There is no specific criteria for the content, all we ask is that the moment is personal to you. You are very welcome to bring an object or piece of costume with you to help re-create this memory if need be.

Artists Antonia Beck and Kim Burnett are emerging, interdisciplinary artists who have come together to form a progressive arts partnership called Beck & Burnett. We have a shared desire to explore interdisciplinary arts opportunities and we are particularly interested in challenging the predetermined concepts surrounding arts and culture and exploring the relationship between the performer and the audience member. Our collaborative work was most recently shown at the Stoke Newington Intimacy Festival.
